Minato Namikaze gained the idea for this jutsu after observing the Nine Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb. The original Rasengan was used for mid to close range, and Naruto invented long-range variations. Boruto is quite a skilled ninja who is capable of using three chakra natures with great proficiency already at a young age.
